Rapper Andre 3000 is heading to Ireland to begin shooting a much-anticipated Jimi Hendrix biopic.
The Outkast star is set to transform into the rock icon for All Is By My Side, which will depict Hendrix's time in England in the 1960s when he recorded his debut album Are You Experienced.

Beastie Boys co-founder Adam Yauch has died. The 47-year-old rapper - who was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node in 2009 for which he underwent surgery and radiation therapy -passed away this morning (04.05.12).

Tyler Perry 's film studio in Atlanta has been damaged by what CNN have described as a "massive fire." According to CNN's report, the fire broke out last night and caused one building to partially collapse. Atlanta's fire captain Jolyon Bundridge said that no one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Hip-hop star Dj Khaled had a lucky escape on Friday night after his tour bus exploded en route to a show in Florida.
